The thing to say about Brian is that he’s tried a lot. Costume designing and making weird butter dishes are only a couple of the more recent creative endeavors he’s found himself doing. Scattered throughout his home in Portland, on the walls and tabletops, are little leftover creations made into pieces of art. While some seem half-finished and some completed, each piece urges you to ask what it the story behind it is.
Most people love Halloween, especially when we remembering dressing up as kids. I (Zach) actually didn’t really like it, but when Brian put his first costume on to dance in, I immediately wanted Halloween to be everyday. It in a way it seemed like he might have created interesting pieces of ceramic art for so long that he wanted to become the art.
